Car service.  Servicing the car is required at least once every six months or when you have run a mileage of 5,000 to 10,000 kilometers after the last time you had it tuned-up.  If you are to have an auto transport service, make sure the car undergoes this step as well.  As much as possible, check the gasoline gauge to determine whether it is feasible for transfer.  If there is too much gas from the tank, you have to drain it until it reaches a lower point.  There is no need to empty the tank for the car shipping company to handle the transfer very well.

Car modifications.  You may not be transporting the same car you bought some years back.  Simply put, your car may have undergone several alterations already.  Extra cost may be required by the car shipping company once the team finds out that you did not specify the changes and additions made to your vehicle.  Proper quotation from the auto transport team will only be possible once you provide the company a detailed description of all the inclusions in your car before the move.

You must also be able to have your own set of car keys while the auto transport company should also have another set.  If you own a luxury car that you want to protect during the move, you have to get services from an enclosed truck.  The best thing to consider before car shipping is to have the car itself ready for the travel.  Since these things are basic enough, you may easily take on your own task for the project’s success.  After all, you will always benefit from preparing your car before the actual move.
