Today the benefits of Final Fantasy are everywhere, but in 1997, the idea of a title that bears the name of the family that was not part of the series was unthinkable. Not only that, but in Final Fantasy Tactics, a historical role and tactician, has some similarities with their counterparts, except for some Chocobo and preparation of large size.

However, it has shown not only as one of the best titles of the series, but also of all time. A balanced strategy game and beautifully executed that it matches deep, large mechanical rewarding history. Battles take place in isometric fields in three dimensions which are covered with a grid. Tower of each unit, move a number of places (depending on class of characters and clothes) before making an attack on one enemy. If the device is a gentleman, you should address in a neighboring box, but if you are an Archer or wizard, you can use many of the attacks by far. Every action of an analysis to drink a potion, earn experience points (at the level of your character) and employment (to increase their skills in their specialization chosen). It is a classic, this system will be familiar to fans of Disgaea et al., but rarely these mechanics also felt strong and reliable as they do here.

Despite attracting widespread praise from the press of video game soundtrack, deep and addictive game, conspiracy and complex art by Akihiko Yoshida, the game was only a niche success off Japan, not to the European coasts until the war of superlative PSP ricollegamentosottotitolato of the Lions. For this new version, dialogue of the game has been critical of the original Japanese translation, and for this reason, the most recent version is recommended.

At the time of its release, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance was wrongly assumed by critics and fans below the original Final Fantasy Tactics (and its new version of the PSP, the war of the Lions). Unfairly because while the two games were apparently similar, they have excelled in very different ways and although progress was perhaps too easy, contained an infinite variety of strategy. This variety is most evident in the field of battle, in the way they retain and develop their characters to take full advantage of its capabilities.

The fights are still all too easy, but, as in the previous game, the real challenge is in the form that develops his clan, their direction through the classes of different characters to choose combined skills and expand their tactics. Style of play, however, is the equivalent of a limited free strategic environment, giving players the freedom to travel anywhere and do anything, to follow or ignore the primary mission of auction or hundreds of homes.
